Sammiches Ho!

First I want to apologize for not posting. The trip pace has increased as the sites I visited were close together resulting in a lot of time spent enjoying myself versus posting. I hope to catch up, soon.

I discovered two fantastic sandwiches. First up is a perfect Bacon Lettuce and Tomato, I had in Dyersville, Iowa, before I left.

The bacon quality and quantity was superb, the tomato was vine ripened (local grown?) and the lettuce actually tasty. Even the mayonnaise was served on the side, as it should be. And how can you bitch about iced tea served in a Mason jar with a cocktail sword through the lemon wedges?

This sandwich was equal to any BLT I have made myself. It was superb. This is the place it is offered:

Next up is a pulled pork sandwich I had in Wall, South Dakota. (Yes, that is where the famous Wall Drug is, and no, I didn't go there.) It was yummy on all counts. I got it at a place called something like "Fat Boys BBQ Joint". It's just off I-90 exit. I sprang for a corn on the cob side dish as I had been passing corn fields all day. It was so-so. The sammich is to die for. They offer two BBQ sauces Spicy & Sweet. I only tried the spicy. That's the way I roll.
